Trine Lilleng, first secretary at the Norwegian Embassy in Riaydh, Saudia Arabia, first attracted attention in 2007 through blogging about her meetings with members of the Saudi monarchy (VG). In January 2009 she made headlines across the world by equating Israel’s actions in Gaza to the Holocaust. Mrs.Lilleng sent out an email to friends, where the email consisted of juxtaposed pictures (see example below) from the Holocaust and Israel’s operation in Gaza. The e-mail stated that “The grandchildren of Holocaust survivors from World War II are doing to the Palestinians exactly what was done to them by Nazi Germany”. The Oslo-based Center Against Anti-Semitism in Norway filed an official complaint with Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store.
As of April 24th 2009 Trine Lilleng was still registered as an employee at the Norwegian Embassy of Riyadh.

While we would like to think that the e-mail incident was just a mistake and that Mrs.Lilleng is no more anti-Israeli than anyone else in the Norwegian Foreign Department, these three shots from her now closed blog tell us otherwise.
