Gry Larsen is a Norwegian politician representing Arbeiderpartiet (Labor). She holds a bachelors degree in the humanities and political science and has previously been leader and deputy leader of the AUF, the youth wing of Arbeiderpartiet. As reported on in this blog AUF cooperates with Fatah Youth. In the AUF election in 2002, Gry Larsen narrowly defeated Eva Kristin Hansen (see the picture below).
Larsen is currently political advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre. On the picture at the top of this post Gry Larsen is participating in a “boycott Israel” rally. While a boycott is AUF policy it is not Government policy, and Larsen has after becoming political advisor been forced to retract her strong support to a boycott of Israel, stating that she is firmly devoted to Government policy. In the picture below we see Fatah Youth, which the AUF regards as a sister organization, saluting Mahmoud Abbas prior to the presidential election of 2005.
