Norwegian Foreign Policy should be more concerned with Norwegian interests and Norwegian affairs, and less concerned with accomplishing the strategic goals of the Norwegian Palestine-Lobby. Now, French jews have made an inquiry to the Norwegian embassy in Paris regarding the boycott proposal at NTNU. Why Israel, they probably want to know. Why not Iran or North Korea or Russia?
I wonder what the Norwegian ambassador told them. Or how Akersgata – Norway’s Fleet Street – is going to interpret this.

A la suite de l’information suivant laquelle une université norvégienne aurait appelé au boycott institutionnel d’Israël, Richard Prasquier, président du CRIF a été reçu à sa demande, en urgence, à l’ambassade de Norvège à Paris, mardi 10 novembre 2009.
L’ambassadeur Tarald Brautaset a assuré que le gouvernement norvégien s’était clairement pronnoncé contre toute tentative de boycott. Le 9 novembre, la ministre de la recherche et de l’enseignement supérieur Tora Aasland a affirmé, devant le parlement, que le boycott était contraire à tous les principes.
Le vote à l’université des sciences et de la technologie de Trondheim doit avoir lieu prochainement. Mais son recteur s’est officiellement prononcé contre le boycott. D’après l’ambassadeur norvégien, l’universitaire devrait être suivi.
Richard Prasquier était accompagné par Sammy Ghozlan, délégué du CRIF 93.
