The daily newspaper Dagbladet has been hacked after publishing a cartoon of Allah where the deity was depicted as a pig. Unauthorized translation from Dagbladet:
(Dagbladet.no) Yesterday evening Dagbladet.no broke apart as several Turkish IP-addresses opened the front page of db.no approximately five thousand times each during a short period of time.
The event occurred at 19:30 PM and the webpage was down for two and a half hours. So far Dagbladet has not been able to confirm who is behind the attack.
Assumes responsibility
Several Turkish internet newspapers write that the Turkish hacker-group 1923TURK has assumed responsibility for the attack.
- We carried out the attack because Dagbladet does not respect our values, our history and the prophet Muhammed, say the hackers to the Turkish newspaper Beyazgazete News, which has illustrated the story with a pig covered in the Norwegian flag.1923TURK is previously to have attacked the Pentagon.
- Dagbladet’s attack on our prophet is respect-less, Norwegians have no respect for anything. That is why we attacked the newspaper, the hackers tell the radical Turkish newspaper Internethaber News.
