The chant of “Khaybar, khaybar” is not well known to Norwegian journalists. It ought to be. Read more here. Norwegian author Eirik Eiglad tells of how he and a friend observed a sign lauding the massacre at Khaybar outside the Israeli embassy during the anti-Jewish riots in Oslo in January of 2009. When asking the carrier of the sign what it meant, Eiglad and his friend received the answer that is expressed a desire for peace and good will. It does not.
