Also not in Norwegian news – protests in Gaza

Hamas’s Gaza – not a garden of roses after all. Apparently Gazans are marching against Hamas rule, calling for protests on Facebook. Yet, Hamas controlled police disperse protesters.

At the same time neither PA or Hamas have organized over-due  elections, so are now both usurping power while they appear to be mulling elections at some point, with the ordinary Palestinian ending up as loser. Again.

Maybe the first step in peace process would be to truly reconcile the Palestinians, perhaps being a little more attentive to details than our good FM Støre, who foolishly suggested that his cosy chats with Mashaal was instrumental to forging peace between Palestinian factions. If there was any peace, it only lasted until the Hamas boys threw the PA boys off roof tops…

With a press so obsessed with Israel, and who, in the middle of the Egyptian drama, have found all sorts of resourceful ways of coupling the Arab uprising to the alleged world peace threat represented by a handful of new houses in Jewish towns in contested areas, it is at least surprising that no media here has found half an inch of space to inform of also these troubled events…
