A rare event: Norwegian academic praises Israeli universities

Here is something we do not see very often, a Norwegian academic singing the praises of Israeli universities.

The clip above is from “Some domino-tiles fall” (Noen dominobrikker faller) an op-ed by historian Geir Lundestad in Aftenposten on February 28th. Lundestad writes that he is often asked why so many Jews, and so few Jews, are awarded nobel prizes. Lundestad’s answer is that this has little to do with conspiracies or religion, and much to do with the quality and culture of universities.
