Rockets over Israel go untold

While the Norwegian media rightly now focuses on the ongoing atrocities in Syria, and even our FM has felt compelled to politely tell the naughty Assad regime off for the continuing blood bath, one may perhaps be sympathetic to editors’s decision to not cover news from Israel.

However, since coverage of Israel continues to be tendentious and one-eyed, one must really wonder why no news outlet has mentioned that the Islamic Jihad accepts responsibility for a new barrage of rockets over Southern Israel again today. Schools were cancelled and thousands were at risk as the rockets hit random targets.

Why this reluctance to analyze the desperation friends of the Assad’s must feel as their previously safe dungeons now have to be vacated?

Hizballah-Nasrallah now clearly sees the writing on the wall, and Hamas-Mashaal is now touring potential friendly countries who can host his gang of murders. In fact, Hamas is now in such a bad situation that Mashaal, much to the chagrin of Hamas boss In Gaza, Haniyeh, had to do a bit of canossa style crawling and go to Cairo to suck up to Abbas in the fourth meeting between the feuding Palestinian factions since May 2011.

It would not be the first time that despots in the Middle East try to have their little errand boys do the dirty deed, like firing rockets over Israel in order to try to force Israel’s hand, and hope that the world’s focus will, as per established knee jerk reaction, be fixed on Israel.

Yet journalists who must have miles of unspent virtual ink at their disposal do not seem interested in covering these aspects – maybe thinking outside the box is a journalistic deadly sin? – but it is nevertheless a great shame that the safety and right to life of hundreds of thousands innocent Israeli civilians is so obviously dispensable and so utterly depreciated by the howling flock of Norwegian journalists.

Or maybe they are just a flock of baahing sheep?

One Response to Rockets over Israel go untold

Israel is facing over 200.000 rockets, missile and bombs. Hamas sucks upto Syria and Iran. Norway believes that Hamas is a good bed partner. Of course!
