Unless of course, we have misunderstood, and that the PA takes it very seriously indeed, throwing all their efforts behind it.
MP Syversen asked Støre what precautions the Government would take in the wake of the book; Deception, betraying the peace process exposure of PA led anti-Semitic incitement in PA school books, television, public appearances. Norway is one of the greatest benefactors of the PA and so far we have have a Government who would like to have us believe that every last Norwegian Krone has been tallied and accounted for, and absolutely never gone towards funding bombs, Jew hatred, or even disappeared into cunning PA civil servants bottomless pockets.

Støre:- Our understanding is that this is something the PA takes seriously
- I condemn all forms of hate propaganda and incitement to terror, no matter which side of the conflict parties are on, the Foreign Minister says in his written reply to Hans Olav Syversen.

On Wednesday May 30 MP Hans Olav Syversen (KrF) posed a written question to the Foreign Minister.
Based on documentation in MIFFs new book, Deception, betrayal of the peace process, Syversen wants to know what the Foreign Minister will do to ensure that Norwegian aid does not contribute to Palestinian media’s support for terror and spreading of hate propaganda directed against Israel.Støre’s response was published on regjeringen.no , Tuesday June 5, 2012.
“I condemn all forms of hate propaganda and incitement of terrorism, no matter which side of the conflict parties resides. Such attitudes and actions are not consistent with the Norwegian foreign policy interests and message, and we do our utmost to ensure that the Norwegian supported projects do not contribute to the spread of such attitudes. We achieve this through quality control and close monitoring of our partners and their work.
Questions about the hate propaganda and incitement to violence is a topic that we regularly take up in our dialogue with the Palestinian and international partners. We see that this is something which is taken seriously by the Palestinian authorities. “MIFFs bookDeception, betrayal of the peace process which documents that the hate propaganda and encouragement to terrorist activity is widespread in the Palestinian society.UNESCO-case
In his question Syversen specifically mentioned that UNESCO withdrew financial support for a Palestinian youth magazine after the English edition of MIFFs book came out in December 2011. The authors revealed at the time that the magazine had depicted Adolf Hitler as a role model, and UNESCO withdrew its support quickly. The Foreign Minister has the following reply to this particular matter.
“With regards to the actual text which is mentioned in the question, this refers to an article which was published just over a year ago in the children’s magazine” Zayzafouna “.The magazine is published by a nonprofit organization with the same name, which receives support from what is now known as “the Palestinian National Committee for UNESCO.” This is a government organization that does not receive general support from UNESCO or other international organizations, but it has received funding from the Palestinian authorities.UNESCO in Ramallah, however, supported the organization’s release of three magazines in which the main theme was cultural heritage last fall. Beyond this there are, according to UNESCO Ramallah, no connections between the UNESCO in Ramallah and the organization. UNESCO, in a press release 23/12/11 sharply condemned the contents of the article which the MP Syversen refers to. They take clear exception to any kind of hate and regret strongly that UNESCO’s name was associated with this type of statement. Norway supports this strong condemnation from UNESCO’s side. “
