Israel: – Hamas has the responsibility for civilian casualties in Gaza
Misharawis home in Gaza was hit Wednesday, according to the BBC’s Middle East chief Paul Danaher.
- Jihad told me that there were fights in the neighborhood when the grenade hit his 4 room apartment in Gaza, he said on Twitter.
Danaher also reports that Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Aylon said to the channel that “they regret civilian casualties, but the responsibility lies with Hamas.”
BBC’s world editor Jon Williams has send out a memo to his colleagues after the incident:
“Our thoughts are with Jihad and the rest of his team in Gaza. This is a particularly difficult moment for the agency in Gaza. We are luck to have such a dedicated and courageous teams there. This is the reminder of the challenges many of our colleagues face, “he wrote according to the Daily Telegraph.
The rest of the article is more or less neutral, but fails to detail the horrors Israeli citizens in the South of Israel suffer. The article mentions the Egyptian Prime Minister’s visit to Gaza, in very passion mention the three fatalities in Kiryat Malachi, and of course the attacks on Tel Aviv, yon can google translate the rest of the article to get the gist, but the opening lines say it all, VG does not mind to trade its journalistic integrity in exchange for becoming a propaganda mouthpiece for Hamas. Good to know.
Also, for balance, they could have added at least one thought of concern for the three children who became orphaned when their mother, Mira Sharf, Z”L, was killed by a Hamas rocket in her home as she tried to reach the shelter with her three kids and husband. Mira was pregnant in 7th month, the unborn child died with her, another child was critically wounded while her husband seriously injured. What had these people done to deserve to have their lives snuffed out and destroyed?
Please VG, at least try to pretend you are a serious news outlet.
