Pro-Israel Norwegian blogger confronts Norwegian leftist establishment in Ynet

Who are the extremists?

Op-ed: Norwegian citizen says it’s time to confront anti-Israel activists with some tough questions

Andreas Fagerbakke

Why do we always have to defend our opinions? Why must we always be on the defensive? Those people who call us extremists and want to push us into a corner, these people are the real extremists, but they are always let easily off the hook. It’s time to stop defending ourselves and start being on the offensive. Let’s confront those people who call us extremists with the following questions:

People who are pro-Israel always have to defend their opinions and are usually on the defensive. Now it’s time for us to stand up and turn the tables.

Who are the extremists? Those who want the security barrier and all the checkpoints removed, which will lead to a wave of terror attacks against Israeli civilians, or those who want the barrier and checkpoints to remain in place?

Who are the extremists? Those want the naval blockade of Gaza to be lifted, which will give terrorists in Gaza more weapons and rockets (which will again lead to more war and suffering for both Israelis and Palestinians) or those who do not want the naval blockade to be lifted?

Who are the extremists? Those who want Judea and Samaria to be Jewish-free or those who want both Arabs and Jews to build and live in the area?

Who are the extremists? Those who want millions of Palestinians to return to Israel, a development that would practically destroy the only safe haven that the Jewish people have on this earth, or those who oppose such a radical idea?

Who are the extremists? Those who believe Israel should tolerate thousands of missiles raining down on its citizens or those who believe that Israel (like any other country) has the right to defend its citizens and stop the rockets?

Who are the extremists? Those who don’t want Jews to live in certain areas of Jerusalem or those who want both Arabs and Jews to live freely in all of Jerusalem?

And yet we, who are pro-Israel, are painted as the extremists. Has the world turned upside down?

nah… I just dedicate myself to documenting the mad stuff that is written, spoken about Israel here in Norway. 60000 dead and counting in Syria…. where is the general outcry in Norway? Where are the peace rallies? where are the oped’s the indignant reactions of the chattering classes? it is painful and embarrassing to witness these horrible double standards.

Defending pro israelis opinions sounds to me a bit patronising in relation to Israel. Imagine defending pro norwegian opinions, sounds absurd, does it not?

Not quite getting my head around your argument here?

What I mean is, that being pro Israel doesn’t require explaining your opinion. Defending one’s position is an apology of sorts.

Actually Prof, I can understand, I believe, what Solinski means. The state of Israel is a fact, as much as the state of Norway. The only difference is that Norway only has to defend it’s interests regarding whale hunting, seal culling etc, of course by humane methods unlike kashrut.
Israel is attacked because it is a Jewish state with a large minority of non Jews. The Arabs will never accept any country that has been under Islamic rule and practises another way of life. That is why Spain, Portugal and France, parts of Italy are so worried. They were under the Moors and Islamic rule prior to the expulsion of Jews and Muslims. Therefore, the Arabs want that land back. Just ask any Mullah. When parts of European countries become muslim majority, the exprerience will be excruciatingly embarrasing for the leftwingers.

hope you find something you like one day and that can give your life a positive factor.

McG, glad that the Jews in Norway has stoped the self hate. Some people are really hard to understand.
I think this lady needs someone to care for her. She does trow stones in a glasshouse! Not odd Anne and the rest became mad at her.
Glad DMT Oslo now is the place to report hatecrime:
Hopefully the selfhater campain will stop soon, I’m really fed up by Jews that just jugde and can’t work them self out of trouble! Use your brain and stop running around to everyone!
