Christian Daily Vårt Land too lazy to do a decent job

For many of the smaller newspapers in Norway, the copy and paste exercise from major news agencies saves their day and ensure that they have something  – apparently anything – to offer in print to readers. Sadly, this procedure also makes journalists inherently lazy and “forget” to check the socalled facts they have been served. Here is a story Vårt Land has lifted from NTB, a news agency with a proven anti-Israel bias. What the lazy Vårt Land journalist has forgotten to do is to check the story against common immigration policies in countries such as Norway, Denmark, UK, etc. However, nobody even remotely raises the apartheid card against any of these nations, but only against Israel for applying same rules. Isn’t that just a wee bit false? Shame on Vårt Land for not having any journalistic integrity at all. And while I am at it, when are they going to do something about their notoriously unethical debate forum, the ethics exchange?

Soldiers stopped the symbolic wedding demonstration

Palestinians can not move to Israel when they marry an Israeli.
Published: 7 hours ago
West Bank: The Israeli army prevented Saturday a symbolic wedding between a Palestinian from the West Bank and Israeli Palestinians by sharing wall.

The symbolic wedding should be kept at a checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. The bride would be an Israeli Arab from Nazareth and groom from Palestine.

But the soldiers prevented the bride to get to the roadblock, and spread a 50-century Palestinians, who were gathered at the cordon, with power.

The ceremony was planned to throw light on the law that prevents marriages between Palestinians from each side of the border. Palestinians who marry Israeli Palestinians, denied Israeli citizenship, and they are not moving to Israel.

Organizers of the symbolic ceremony called practice apartheid and says it deprives Palestinians from Israel and the West Bank and Gaza the right under international law has to family.

Yep, I saw that. Even the conservatives aren’t totally immune towards the leftist influence in the media.

BTW, have you guys notices Vågnes’ latest spazz, where he pretends to stand up for the Jews, and tries to coax others into saying Jews go to hell, so he can accuse them of anti-Semitism?

Interesting also that Vårt Land is pooled as a “Pro-Israel” newspaper in Norway. Is this the best Israel can get in NOrway ?

(E.g. Aftenpostens editor in chief (in the editorial bashing Rachel Suissa of the Centre against antisemitism) designated Vårt Land as very “pro-Israel” – and if this is pro-Israel, what then, does this have to say about Aftenposten – who pride themselves with being “neutral” ?)

Serious its better things to do than to read a page that is on nearly nobodys interest, 500 FB followers says a lot. Heavy religious minds from all kind of religions mixed with people that like to psycoanalyse others on the web, can it really get worse?

    de Bacle,
it says a lot about Aftenposten if they believe a Christian news can be a supporter of a Jewish Israel. Its a support of a Christian Israel like mekka to the Muslims! To most Christians Jews don’t exists its just a person that has not meet Jesus and that needs help.

Hi norwegian, I have a lot of respect for the Internaional Christian Church in Jerusalem and its followers around the world. They carry out a magnificent job on behalf of a Jewish Israel.

Poor you Martin, an epidural injection did not sound very fun. Hope you can get better soon. Hope your holliday in France was fine : )

I to have Christians and Christian organisations can I respect, but in general Christians works for Christians values. A secular news as Aftenposten can never write about Vårtland opinions without metion this fact. Norway is a secular democracy where we have religious freedom as long as the secular media defend it!

    All best : )

Thank you norwegian. The patch is off since the epidurals. Unfortunately, the pain without the patch is not so good. Hopefully, it will all work out for the better.

Regarding the Christian world and I nam not sure that Jehovah Witnesses are included. However, just had a couple knock at the door inviting me to one of their evenings. I pointed out the mezuzah on the door post, the white woman recognised it and was thrilled to know that I am Jewish. The black woman too, wa svery nice, and as the JW wree also persecutred by Hitler, I am always friendly and respectful towards them. They are told however, in no uncertain terms that I was born, live and will die as a Jew and could never think of any other religiom. Not with my or our history.

They mentioned Jehovah and they understood that the 4 letters they translate (as do many Christians)Jehovah, we pronoiunce as Adenai. The problem was Jews have is that we are taught not to insult other religions that believe in the one God and that I told them. however, any attack friendly or aggressive will not go unnoticed. So I assured them that their book contains many mistranslations as do all the christian bibles, some of which are accidental, such as the Red Sea, vs the Reed Sea, while others such as the Virgin birth vs young woman is delibertae.

One thing I have never understood with Christianity and I don’t wish to run salt into the wounds (though they have done that with us for 2000 years~) is this. It states that a boy will be born from a young woman and named Emmanuel (God is with us). So why do the Christians call him Jehoshuah (Joshue) which is the Hebrew from the word or term Jesus?
