Oslo’s new mayor is seasoned Israel boycott sponsor

In September, local elections were held throughout Norway. On polling day, the nationwide participation was under 60%, one of the lowest on record.

Unfortunately, the Labour Party was seen to have won the elections, however, in Oslo it could not muster majority and after one month of tense negotiations, the Labour party, the Socialist Left Party and the Greens now have agreed on a formula to govern the capital together. In inking the deal (which makes amusing reading from many points of view, for example, no cars, lorries etc in Oslo from 2019..), they let a sworn Israel hater with a long track record of promoting Israel boycott, failing to condemn violence against Jews, Israel, eg the pogrom in Oslo, January 2009, become the new mayor.

Miff.no has this story (google translate):

Boycott Mayor in Norwegian capital

On Wednesday Oslo will get  a mayor vying for a boycott of the world’s only Jewish state.

Friday October 16 announced a number of Norwegian media that SV Marianne Borgen is the new mayor of Oslo. The new council is constituted on Wednesday 21 October.
The minutes from the Oslo city council meeting on Wednesday 21 June 2006 reveals a lot about Borgen views on Israel. At that time she went to the poll to support a proposal to recommend Oslo’s population not to buy goods produced in Israel.
– We believe that a consumer boycott of Israeli goods gives people an opportunity to show an active action, solidarity with the Palestinian people, said Borgen.
Not everyone listens to the new mayor – thankfully. When the majority in South Trøndelag county would boycott Israel in 2005,  the Foreign Ministry stated that such local boycotts “are contrary to international law Norwegian law, the EEA Agreement and the WTO Agreement”.
Since 2006, Norwegian imports from Israel increased 650 to 875 million kroner in 2014. A wide range of products, medicines and software from Israel is essential to keep alive and keep up the standard of living for a large part of the population of. So now when Mayor chained into place around the neck will well Borgen take to their senses?
With Israel for Peace (MIFF) has since 2002 offered a market for Norwegian Israel-importers. On torget.miff.no offers hundreds of consumer products manufactured in Israel. MIFF works to reveal how immoral and stupid it is with a boycott of Israel. Read all our articles about boycotts against Israel. Also read all our articles on the action page Buy Israeli goods!

One reason Norwegians may be so anti-Semitic may be a lack of intelligence. :-)

Europe slaughtered six million /hews after persecuting this people for two thousand years and it continues, only it is called anti-zionism. Well, those six million men women children and babies have been replaced by 30 million Muslims and the count is increasing. This is Europe’s reward and well desreves the challenge it set itself.

Yes Herbie, I remember the incident well. Don’t forget the Isklamonazis also took the mobile phones and used them to convey to the wives the screams while the two Israelis were being tortured before they were mercifully dead.

I do not believe in taking these bastards prisoner, they shjould be shot out of hand without remorse. Israel is too frightened of the western media. we all know that journalists have to tread carefully in not cticising the Arabs. Otherwise they share the same experience as the other victims

There is at least one bit of good news – the Mets are in the (baseball) World Series.

    Don’t tell me you’re a Yankee fan….

Note to Motti – the New York Mets are the Manchester City of Major League Baseball. They are in the same city, but play second fiddle to, the most famous of all teams in the sport (in your case, Man U, in our case, the NY Yankees).

Go Yankees! I recently watched by 12 1/2 year old grandson, who plays little league, hit a home run over the center field fence — 355 feet

Jews cannot root for the Yankees. That is an excommunicable offense, like going under the Arch of Titus. It is a betrayal of the old Brooklyn Dodgers.

As Motti will tell you, the UK equivalent offense for a Jew is rooting for Arsenal. Jews there root for Tottenham Hotspur (Yid Army! Yid Army!)

    So who is from Queens?
I am laughing at the above comments.
As it happens, the Tottenham authorities are tryign to stop the Christan supporters from yelling “We are the Yids” and other slogans.

I’m not sure which team it is but when Tottnham play this side, ther fans or a part of the stand hiss like the ovens etc. Football is anti-racist when it comes to the black and Muslim communities but is very slow when it comes to tackling the hate or idiocy by so called fans.

Thank you for the continued humour Prof. The problem we poor men is the most sensitive part of our bodies becomes heavy and drains the energy from our heads.
What effect this has on women, we poor men are unable to explain.
