Norwegian Telegram Bureau cannot bring itself to state simple facts

lifted from miff.no, with a very poor google translate

What would we do without the people over at MIFF?! They provide details analyses and challenge lies and half truths served about Israel.

Here is a lengthy analysis about how the Norwegian Telegram Bureau consistently avoids telling the truth about the current cycle of terrorism plaguing life for ordinary Israelis.

NTB headlines Clears terrorists

For the NTB, it is the Israelis who are killers when Palestinians are attacking. Here reveals MIFF in detail news agency unfair and unprofessional treatment of Israel in the last month.
Tor-Bjorn Nordgaard
11/12/2015 11:12 p.m.

The news agency NTB headlines and teasers have followed the same pattern through autumn terror wave against Israel. This is the NTB code for coverage of Palestinian terror attacks against Israel:
– Palestinian attackers are treated as victims rather than held accountable for their misdeeds.
– The attacks against Israelis is often put in doubt, or tone down that those who were attacked were Israelis.
– That the Palestinian attackers are killed getting much more attention than the Israelis attacked.
– Israelis will generally only be the center of the story when NTB has taken a unilateral critical approach towards them.
This is the conclusion of the analysis you can read about further in this article.

NTB coverage briefly summarized
MIFF has gone through all of the NTB published texts that deal with the scourge of terrorism against Israel from the last month. From 12 November to 11 December 53 texts. (There are 32 different news stories, the rest of the texts are updated versions and modified versions of these. Since the angle sometimes changes when it comes out new versions, and because the papers that use NTB substance are not always updated to the latest version, we include all 53 texts in this analysis.)
We have emphasized the headlines and introductions to the text, then it is reasonable to assume that most readers not always carry on reading to find the relevant details further down in the texts. Here’s what we found out:

Headlines hide that the killed Palestinians were attackers and that they attacked Israelis.
– Of the 53 published article texts are 43 clean news events, which tells of attacks or riots.
– 28 of these 43 headlines tell that one or more Palestinians have been killed.
– Only 16 of the 43 headings mentions that there has been an attack against Israelis.
– 7 of the headlines do not tell if neither Israelis or Palestinians, only about attacks, killings or “unrest”.

In the preamble is almost always the main point one Palestinian has been killed (outside of those times in front instead was defused and arrested without losing life).
– 31 of 43 preambles angles news that one or more Palestinians have been killed.
– Only 10 of 43 preambles angles case that the Israelis have been attacked.
– A preamble says that both an Israeli and a Palestinian is killed, without telling that one was attacking and the other victim.
– An ingress does not tell whether it is the Israelis or Palestinians in the picture, just that “people” are injured after “some” attacks.

Palestinian attackers called consistently never for “terrorists”, and attacks are called not once for “terrorist attacks”.
– The number of times the term terrorist is used is simply zero. Nor, when the attacks have been directed solely against innocent civilians.

The attacks against Israelis is constantly put in doubt. There is never similar question at what happened to the Palestinians.
– 15 times tells NTB in the preamble that an attack “supposedly” occurred, or “said to have” happened.
– The terms “allegedly” or “shall” is never used when it reported that a Palestinian have been killed or injured.

When NTB writes something else about the current round of terrorism than the actual news event , it’s in nine out of ten cases, criticism of Israel.
– Ten of the 53 texts are not news about attacks but still related to the ongoing cycle of violence
– Nine of these ten cases are angled critically  in Israel’s disfavor. For example, the Agency stated on December 7: “Israeli military court sentenced a Palestinian politician to jail.” The arrests referred to in the preamble as “a prominent Palestinian parliamentarian” as “inter alia” have encouraged violence. Only deep in the body do they tell us that he is an active member of a terrorist organization (DFLP). And this time, as always otherwise, the NTB ignored the fact that the politician continuously incited to terror from Palestinian leaders.
– The other headlines in this category: “Israelis arrested for arson against Palestinians”, “Israelis arrested for arson against Palestinians”, “B’Tselem accuses Israeli forces of unnecessary killings,” “Israeli court approves the destruction of Palestinian homes”, ” Israel destroys homes of Palestinian attackers ‘and’ Israeli policeman got community service for having beaten a teenager “.
– Only one of the ten articles conveys a message condemning the attacks against Israel, “Kerry condemns Palestinian knife attack”, could NTB tell when the US secretary of state was visiting.

The most recent example of the unfair coverage we received on Friday, 11 December
“A Palestinian killed after being hit from the West Bank,” we read Friday afternoon. That the Palestinian was an attacker who apparently tried to kill and injure as many Israeli soldiers as possible, was not mentioned the headline and toned down in the preamble and the body.
When the news agency updated the same story after 30 minutes, they removed all traces of the headline and introductory paragraph which could imply that the aforementioned Palestinian had done something wrong. “Two Palestinians killed in the West Bank”, was the headline. “Two Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli soldiers in Hebron on the occupied West Bank on Friday,” was the preamble.
Even in the body of the text do they tell us that the car attacker intended no harm people. No, he “tried to drive his car into a military roadblock on the outskirts of a town.”
Israeli media, e.g. the Times of Israel, say the attacker drove straight toward the soldiers when they stopped him by shooting at him. NTB did also not include that fact that he carried a large knife while driving.
The second killed referenced was killed when he participated in a violent riot against Israeli forces in Hebron.

Can Norwegian media continue to accept to get their supply of foreign news from a news agency who to such a degree leans to one side in a conflict that so many is concerned about?

I commented long asgo that even with a new government, life will not chnage in norway with its attitude towards Israel. The Mazi establishment will see to that. governments do not run countries, the civil service does. and in the case of Norway, the communist media certainly has not changed.

The problemstarted after the 6 Day War. Everyone expected Israel to be overrun and all the Jerws slaughtered. Every one now…..Aah what a shame. Israel defied predictions and won a stupendous victory. hold on now. you mean Jews fight ands win. Oh dearie me, I can’t support thme now. no I must still support the underdogs, the Arabs. Thanks to the known paedophile Arafat who successfully used the term Palestinian 3 years before.

I have just completed the online course that I took on The Holocaust (Shoah) and one of the critics was an Englishman living in Bergen who is a member of hte Palestime Committee. A Muslim Indian or Paki made a number of disparaging remarks whoich I objected to. One idiot woman actually wrote “What aboiut Gaza?” The course was run in conjunction with the Tel Aviv University and Yad Va Shem.

By the way Prof, I read in the Jewish Chronicle that a British Jewish Sergeant is buried in Asker and he now has a Magen /david engraved on his stone. I have asked AJEX (Assoc of Jewish ex Servicemen and women for more details).

By the way did you ever visit the site of the graves for the poor Tunisian Jewish kids who were on board the plane when it crashed in Hurum? This is quite close to where Eva’s family originate from in Royken. The nephews and nieces are around Lier and district. By the way at Liertoppen shopping mall, they were serving fish and chips.

Just a week now and Eva and I are back in Israel. Can’t wait. I am totally fed up with being here for the shortest day of the year. One reason why I would never live in Norway permanently. 2.30pm and it is pitch black. I remember working at the bank in the centre of Oslo and checked the sun rising on 21/12 from the eats. At 9am, the faintest piece of sun began to show itself on the horizon. no wonder the establishment hates Israel.

I saw a car near Royken with a message that Norway was the best country in the world. As it was written in English, I left a message asking if it was so good, why does iot need to be written in English and not Norwegian?

    Herb,

Heck, Jews are safer in Moscow than in Western Europe. In Moscow they do not worry about walking around in a kippah.

There is a lot to criticize about Putin – especially his suppression of dissent and his relationship with Iran , but Jewish life in Russia has done well under his watch.

    McG:

I wonder if they are including Ukraine in that figure, since a lot of Jews have fled the fighting there.

As for Russia, I suspect a combination of European sanctions over the Ukraine and the collapse of oil prices have driven Jews out due to economic difficulty.

Finally, another article on the death spiral of Norway’s neighbor:

Prof, I did indeed find the results expected regarding French aliyah also noticeable was the report shown regarding the plight of Jews in Sweden and that country’s ruling Nazi party. Expect further aliyah from Sweden.

Long ago, I mentioned how the Muslims in Europe will become more numerous and therreby stronger and would pose a direct and indirect threat to th Jewish populace and how through them demonisation of Israel. That, with their natural extremist allies on the left and right which are only too pleased to allow their US/Jewish feelings known. What scumbags or shuld I say dreetsek

In short NTB + Norway (not everyone but a pretty large proportion) suck big time especially with regard to Jews/Israelis.

Shame on these low life anti semites.

Have any of you read “THE CAMP OF THE SAINTS” by Jean Raspail. It was originally published in France in 1973. It is quite amazing how life imitates art
