THREE YEARS SINCE BOMBING OF GAZA Ship to Gaza Norway, no date, Nikolaos Tavridis-Hansen Summary. In anti-Israel demo on December 29th 2011, held nearby the Israeli embassy in Oslo, Mr. Nikolaos Tavridis-Hansen of the Norwegian Ship to Gaza, held a speech directed against Israel, the translator contends himself with translating the first lines of his appeal: “It is three years since Holocaust in the Gaza strip! Three years ago, Israeli forces in a brutal fashion massacred 1400 Palestinians”. The rest of his appeal is very much in the same vein. Perhaps unnecessary to mention, Mr, Tafridis-Hansen also mentions Apartheid and ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Further is also appears they fail to coordinate their statements with noise emanating from Gaza; according to Hamas “official” Mahmoud al-Zahar: Senior Hamas member Mahmoud al-Zahar dismissed a statement made by Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal, who claimed recently that the group will hold mass rallies against Israel within the Gaza Strip. “Popular resistance is inappropriate for the Gaza Strip,” al-Zahar said. “Against whom exactly would be rally? Such resistance would be fitting if Gaza was occupied.” However, he claimed that all forms of resistance – including the armed kind – are appropriate for the West [...]

This is a double standard on behalf of the Norwegian cultural elite Norwegian double standards Chairman of the Oslo DMT claims in Dagen that I present a distorted picture of anti-Semitism in Norway. Last year I met his predecessor Anne Sender and several of her colleagues in the Oslo Jewish community building, to discuss Norwegian anti-Semitism. They did not succeed in refuting even one of my arguments and facts. Before the visit, I had offered DMT to give a free lecture to their members. They turned my offer down. If they believed that they could show in the debate that I was wrong, they should have accepted my offer. The second edition of my book in English “Behind the Humanitarian Mask, the Nordic Countries, Israel and the Jews” can now be downloaded at no cost from the internet.
A comment by Vetle Lid Larssen, Aftenposten August 12, 2011, with thanks to Erwin Kohn who made me aware of it. Hunting for votes Every time somebody draws parallels between the fate of the Jews and other forms of racism, I get suspicious. Not because the Jews are the only persecuted people in the world history, or because their story of suffering shall reign alone – but because the industrial mass destruction of 6 million Jews in the midst of the Europe of Humanism remains a particular case in the history of mass murders. Every initiative that tries to draw strength from this catastrophe, the way we now have seen Erna Solberg do, is automatically placed in the heavy shadow of the Holocaust. There can be little doubt that Muslims and other immigrants in Norway are both discriminated against as well as the objects of hateful harassment in Norway and Europe; and that the Europeans – like many other Peoples, religions and cultures – have a long to go to reflect on this. There can also be no doubt about the existence of some muddy brownish dirt here at home, and probably more than what we have been aware. But the [...]

The leader of Høyre, Erna Solberg has said in an interview with VG that Muslims in todays Norway are being treated like the Norwegian Jews were treated in the 1930s. To be very fair (and this is of fundamental importance in todays Norway), she has underlined that Muslims today are not subject to the brutal repressions as Jews were in the 1930s but thinks that the extreme agitation against Muslims, bears resemblance to hatred against Jews. This is an important clarification. I ask you to keep it in mind. She says (unauthorized translation) I have been in touch with ethnic minority youths, who are born and raised in Norway. Their greatest challenge is that they are frequently met with claims that they are not Norwegians. It ranges from discrimination at nightclubs, to always having to answer where they originally come from. They are met with different expectations based on prejudice, and many individual Muslims are being held collectively responsible for actions of all Muslims. She is careful to relate this to the job market in particular, that if you have a foreign sounding name, your chances of being called in for job interviews become very small. Lets analyze the various [...]

In an op-ed on anti-Semitism, the author claims that the state of Israel was created in consequence of the Holocaust. The op-ed does have a lot of fine features, as it for instance points out that anti-Semitism in by no means a “muslim” problem. In this, Mr.Ali is entirely correct. But he is completely wrong about the state of Israel being established as a consequence of the Holocaust. Israel has its roots in the Balfour statement and the San Remo agreement. Israel was created in spite of the Holocaust, not due to it. Note to Norwegian journalists: The origin of the state of Israel in relation to the Holocaust is rather a salient point. You do need to read up on it. linkscolor = "000000"; highlightscolor = "888888"; backgroundcolor = "FFFFFF"; channel = "none";

Manfred Gerstenfeld, nemesis of Norwegian anti-Semites, has written the well received book “The abuse of Holocaust remembrance”. The book is now being translated into Norwegian. This is excellent news that Idag.no brings us! With only 240 pages the book is relatively slender, but it packs a vicious punch. “Says who?” our readers might ask. “Støre wrote the back-cover praise for Gilbert’s book Eyes of Gaza“, who wrote the back-cover praise for Gerstenfeld’s “The abuse of Holocaust remembrance”? Well, Elie Wiesel, for one: “Written with exemplary tenacity, research and courage, this volume’s urgency is proven by its resolve to unmask and denounce the nefarious ugliness of Holocuast abuse and denial”. Sound pretty good, hey? Does “The abuse of Holocaust memory” mention Norway? Yes it does, my love, yes it does. Pages: 18, 29-30, 38, 40, 54-55, 74, 105-106, 111, 125, 160, 165. Have a look, sweetheart, see what you think. Gerstfenfeld, whom the Norwegian establishment is casting as an Emanual Goldstein-like character, is the author of not less than 19 books. His last book was “The decay: Jews in a rudderless Netherlands“, which caused a political upheaval in Holland. linkscolor = "000000"; highlightscolor = "888888"; backgroundcolor = "FFFFFF"; channel = "none";

Professor of Semiotics Ugo Volli, at the University of Turin, has written a piece on Norway, Quisling and Mathisen in the Informazione Corretta. It is interesting to notice how quickly Labor was allowed to distance itself from Anders Mathisen after he publicly denied the holocaust. Contrast this with how the media fell on the Progress Party like vultures after one of its politicos got tangled up in a sex scandal involving a minor. It is equally interesting to note that the world at large is largely uninterested in the sex scandal, and rather more interested in how a Labor politico could deny the holocaust. Professor Volli’s piece in the Informatzione Corretta, “La purezza Norvegese, Quisling e Mathisen”. He also published his reported his “findings” on hisFacebook page. Mathisen reportedly has accused Holocaust survivors of exaggerating their stories. He also said that the public has been brainwashed into believing in the Holocaust by films such as “Schindler’s List,” according to the forum.
Up here in Norway, Labor got away from the holocaust-denial of one of its members pretty easily. It was an isolated incident. A matter of no significance. It was a Sami member of the Sami parliament. Who cares? Haaretz does, enough to run an article on the matter. From the Haaretz article “Norwegian lawmaker under fire for denying the Holocaust“, which seems to fail to differentiate between the Norwegian parliament (the Storting) and the Sami parliament (Sametinget): Norwegian Labor Party MP Anders Mathisen has caused outrage within his own party after denying that the Holocaust ever happened and calling anyone who can prove him wrong to step up and challenge him, Norwegian online news agency Ice reported Wednesday. “There is no evidence the gas chambers or mass graves existed. Even reputable Holocaust historians have admitted it cannot be established,” Mathisen told the Finnmarken newspaper, while challenging readers to prove that his views are inaccurate. … According to Ice, after widespread condemnation of his comments, the MP wrote on his Facebook page, that he is proud to call himself an anti-Semite if it means “not accepting lies and nonsense”. linkscolor = "000000"; highlightscolor = "888888"; backgroundcolor = "FFFFFF"; channel = "none";

By now, very many people in Norway have been made aware of the academic boycott of anyone who remotely could be espousing a pro-Israel point of view. But not so many are aware that Dershowitz singled out one particular man for chiding: Trond Andresen, one of the NTNU initiators of the call for academic boycott of Israel. Document.no brought a very interesting review of Dershowitz’s lecture in Trondheim, and one talkback provided a most revealing link to a debate forum, where Andresen made the following entry on December 30, 2008 (unauthorized translation of the whole entry) Help Jews to develop empathy to others than their own kin I have been on Facebook for a while. The enterprise has many ludicrous aspects, for instance the never-ending self-exposure and desperate “show-that- you-have-friends” drive is an inherent feature. At the same time, Facebook has the very convenient feature that it is easy to attract people for a common cause. For the first time I thought I would start such a facebook group, and opened the page where you enter data about the group you wish to form. The two first boxes where thus filled out: Group name: Help Jews to develop empathy with [...]

Here is the latest on the sad saga of the Sami labour politician who denied the Holocaust. He made it to the ynet.com, where we are now getting our noses bloodied. So, just because Mathisen thinks he can hide behind his sami ethnicity to have a go at another ethnic group, I need to feel that being a Norwegian is becoming increasingly burdensome? We have been on the wrong side of events for a long time now, and the chicken is coming home to roost. The ongoing Libya mission has highlighted that Norwegian military staff has been kept out of the loop for strategic decision making – keeping our lads all dressed up, but nowhere to go. There is a price to be paid for punching above your weight, especially if you keep punching your partners. Now, if every time Norway appears in international media, we are going to be associated with negative events as well as representing nothing but insignificance in the greater political, diplomatic wheel of fortune, I think we shall be very sad to see the consequences. China is still angry with us, Sri Lankans would like to deep fry us, the US does not trust us, [...]

Anders Mathisen was a Labor politico until he denied the Holocaust, whereupon Labor found that Mathisen had not paid his annual party-membership fee and was therefore no longer a member of the party. Nor will he be allowed to rejoin, Labor has stated. Mathisen now states that he contemplates taking a “funny” holiday to Auschwitz. Planning funny trip to Auschwitz By Mette Ballovara http://www.nrk.no/kanal/nrk_sapmi/1.7550116 Summary: Mr. Anders Mathisen expands his views on politics to the local radio station. Quotes: “This really is no case of importance to me, it is just a blunder my view on the gas chambers and the extermination program of the Jews got public”. “I would much rather focus on the EU policies of the government, and its views on data storage” “I believe those in favor of the data storage directive are far more Nazi than me”. “I shall not travel by the White Buses; but go there on my own initiative. I shall let this case rest a bit, and rather have it as funny holiday someday, to see things for myself”. (On Auschwitz) (Magnhild Mathisen, mother of Anders, and the leader of the Labor party’s council on Sami relations) “Does not support son’s views”. [...]

Andrea Carancini is on the Mathisen case.

Until only two days ago, Anders Mathisen was a virtually unknown politician for Labor. Then Finnmarken, a local newspaper, broke the story of how Mathisen is a vehement Holocaust-denier. Labor has since found that Mathisen has not paid his party-membership fee and therefore is no longer a member of Labor, neither will he be allowed to rejoin. Mathisen believes he is being excluded from Labor for “speaking the truth”. Nordlys is one of the newspapers covering Mathisen’s defensive outburst. Journalist Jostein Larsen Østring’s article on the matter is titled “I am being excluded for telling the truth” (Jeg blir eksludert for å si sannheten). Excerpt: Mathisen, who is an elected representative in the Same-parliament, where he sits as a deputy representative for Labor (Arbeiderpartiet) in electoral lot 7, has created a media-storm after having stated on Facebook that the extermination of the Jews during WWII is a lie. Labor’s party secretary Raymond Johansen is the one who has gone furthest in condemning Mathisen’s statements. On Saturday he said to NTB that the statements are “nazi-inspired nonsense”. – The truth When Nordlys gets hold of Anders Mathisen on Saturday afternoon, he lashes out at the party secretary. – So it is [...]
